How To Dress Fabulous for the Holidays!!!

Of course, we are well aware of the current economic recession. But even so, holidays come and go. And fashionistas still have a need to be dressed to impress, flawless and shining brighter than they did the year before.

I decided that Notable Styles should give you an example of how fabulous YOU CAN look, by wearing what you already have and updating the look with accessories and shoes.

Notable Styles commissioned the delightful and experienced "singer and fashionista" Ms. Fields to carry out this task. Read below for her tips.

Ms. Fields on NYE!!

Dress: Goodwill $5
Shoes: Bebe $189
Bracelets: Forever Love $6.80 a piece
Bracelets: Bebe $34
Earrings: Beauty Supply $50

Tip #1
Start to thrift shop more!!

You would definitely be surprised at what you can find! I got my New Year's dress from Goodwill for $5. (Don't I look? - FAB!)

Tip #2
Mix the Old with the New

Now, my accessories did not come from the Goodwill and are much more expensive, but I have had them for a while. Which is still a form of dressing smarter and more economical by recycling what I already have and wearing it with new items.

Tip #3
Alter Your Garments

Experiment with your clothing!! I will buy a dress, fall in love with the fabric and totally dislike the shape. I later, will do all kinds of tricks with it to make it look totally different then when I first purchased it. That is why I so often stand out and also why I never look like someone else. The most common things I use are belts and zippers to change the shape of the dress.

Tip #4
Dress right for your shape - Go for prints!!

I recommend that you DO NOT wear different prints in one outfit, but I do not see anything wrong with a hint of leopard, cheetah, zebra or snake print in just the right amounts and in just the right places.

Tip #5
Always have a black pair of shoes on deck

Black always looks the best. (PERIOD)

Tip #6
Do not over kill it with your accessories

Please, DO NOT wear the pink beaded necklace, with the pink feather earrings, with the pink pants, with the pink patent leather pumps, with the pink eye shadow, pink streak in your hair and the pink bubble chewing gum to match - Lol! It is way too much pink! Use color accessories to pop, and make a dull outfit, look more vibrant. But matching accessories head to toe, is NOT NEEDED!

Aside from fashion my very first passion is music so be on the look out for singles from me coming soon. I can keep you updated on my status on facebook!!
