Word around cyber town is that Nathalie Dolivo fashion writer for French Elle stated that African-Americans did not step out of our streetwear fashion style until the Obamas came into office.

Hmm, thats interesting? Well what actually do you mean, Nathalie? That Sammy Davis, Jr wore streetwear back in his day? Or that Lena Horne's classic dresses are equivalent to todays Coogi brand?

It is obvious that French Elle magazine was running short on articles because this lady wrote from an uneducated, predjudice and undesirable perspective. A perspective that I would not expect from a reputable magazine.

I am on a mission to change my relationship with food. And there are many reasons why I want and need to be healthier. But I must admit that one of my reasons is so that I can fit into clothes like these and not look like a stuffed burrito! Lol.

I love the casual and dressy look of a t-shirt with leather pants. And the mix of the tuxedo jacket on top of a striped form fitting dress. Wait until you all see me. Wooow!

Can you tell the difference between image 1 and image 2?

Well, the first image shows a brown belt and the second image a green one?

I hope that you can see the way that the green belt brings out more of the colors in the outfit? Which will in turn bring out more colors of your personality. :-)

I purchased the green belt about a month ago at Goodwill for $.50 just because I know the importance of having variety.

I did not have any parts of this look together when I bought the belt.

The point is, anytime that you can pick up a colorful item, for a cheap price, get it. Always keep an eye out for color.

There is always a use for color in ones wardrobe, especially colorful accessories.

Its a sunny 52° day in Indianapolis today but Im sure, there will be more glove wearing days to come.

In the next few days I will continue to work with the touch screen compatible gloves and the fingerless mitten gloves alternating the use between the two deciding which pair that I prefer.

Ive heard that the isotoner touch screen compatible gloves cost close to $20 and the pairs that I am using are half that cost.

Burberry Prorsum designed a mens laser cut leather, low wedge for the fashionable gentlemens spring summer needs.

The color combination of brown with turquoise accents is a combo that I've seen before. And the actual shoe design isn't half bad. The detailing on the shoe has a Native American kind of feel to offer a little personality.

It seems like I could see this shoe with a hard bottom sole, but I'm open to give the wedge sole a chance.

Evelyn Lauder The Road Has Come To An End.

Evelyn Lauder, the daughter-in-law to Estee Lauder and responsible for working with the Lauder cosmetics line has passed on.

Although, her last name says it all, Evelyn was best known for stamping the breast cancer pink ribbon symbol, that we all have grown to utilize and love.

Mrs. Lauder also worked on the pink ribbon campaign in 1992 with the editor of Self magazine and launched the movement of what we now refer to as breast cancer awareness.

Since, Mrs. Lauder was a breast cancer survivor that subject was very dear to her heart. So she also raised money to establish the Evelyn H. Lauder Breast Center at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, which opened in 2009.

Mrs. Lauder life ended, November 12th, 2011 at the age of 75.

Thanks to the InStyle Magazine, I saw a picture of SJP rocking a look that I consider the perfect chic and chill daytime look.

Animal print neck scarf, amazing brown fedora, a plush velvet of some sort grayish blue colored pant that are folded up in a random way, just to show off the banging boots she's wearing. With all of this going on, a white tank brings the pieces all together.

Kanye West's Spring Summer 2012 Collection!!

Kanye West premiered his "highly anticipated" S/S 2012 Collection at London Fashion Week a few days ago. The line by the name of DW was welcomed with open arms by some and criticized by others.

In my opinion, the collection was blessed by more than a few pieces that would have been better suited in a F/W Collection. That fact aside, I think that Kanye's designs are made to make a woman feel good about herself, stylish, sexy and classy all at the same time and for that, he gets a WIN in the Notable Styles and More book!

The sandals are bomb, with snakeskin, high heels and ankle adornments throughout. The fur vests and tails, blew me away with the innovative way the collection allows you to wear them. A fur vest without all the fuss, that has a basic snap closure. I love it! How about the form fitting bandage dress, translated Ye style into a bandage style dress where the design actually looks like bandages, the wrist and ankle kind. Very literal, yet interesting and playful. And please notice the fingerless, thumbless glove that goes a little passed the wrist and has stones, all over it. A definite show piece for a stylist such as myself. I could take that glove and build an entire look around it where the glove would be the focal point!

Kanye also made a BFGF (boy friend girl friend) top. He took the edginess of a woman, wearing the mans white button up after a late night, minus the buttons and turned into daytime. GENIUS! I wonder if I could get one of those in a version that would fit a more endowed woman?

The pants are spectac! Colorful, playful and well tailored. This portion of the collection seems to remind me of a Balmain, inspired look.

In all, I feel that Kanye's Collection is just what I've missed seeing in clothing. Hip, sassy, classy and fun. If I had to categorize the clothing, I would say, they are for people that like to embrace their bodies, be relaxed, yet edgy and stylish. Keep going Kanye! Let's bring this look to the mainstream. I want the DW look, I like that.

Missoni is one of my most coveted luxury brands. I have yet to acquire a piece from any of their previous collections, but with the new Target collection that will be available September 13th through October 23rd, that will soon change.

Missoni created a 400 piece design collection for Target that includes houseware, accessories, mens, women and children apparel and more.

I particularly like the laptop/iPad case, scarves, childrens apparel and a few of the sweaters.

Today, I would like to show you how to quickly obtain the look that Kim K is wearing here.

A similar dress with a black detailed corset upper and a full black feather short skirt, were located for $138.

The pointed toe black pump is also $138 and is Charles David brand!

To bring together the look do not forget to place your hair in a subtle top bun or another hairstyle that is sleek. If you have shorter hair go for an off the face look or a soft or Chinese bob look.

For a handbag, I selected this New York and Company wallet for $14 and feel free to pick any of the colors.

When it comes to earrings and a watch, I say minimal is best and this Belle Noel stud earring for $25 will work just fine!

The watch gives us a chance to add a little color, so why not pump it up a little bit, with this multicolored leopard face, with rhinestone accents that is only $16.50.

Jay-Z and Ye, held a Watch The Throne listening party at the Hayden Planetarium in New York City last night and there were a lot of VIPs in tow! Beyonce, was buzzing about (of course) along with Destiny Child songstress Kelly Rowland. Record executives Julie Greenwald, Lyor Cohen, Jada Pinkett-Smith, Tory Burch and Andre Balazs (residential and boutique hotel developer, The Standard, Chateau Marmont, etc) were in the building as well.

Pharrell Launches A Stylish Cream Liquer!!

It is now ma-jor news that Pharrell Williams (super producer, N.E.R.D. frontman, amongst other things) is launching an ultra-premium liqour company by the name of Qream that is aimed at the women demographic. *Can I say smart move?* According to reports, Pharrell, wants to provide a drink, "....for contemporary women who work hard and want to relax with friends at the end of the day." I think that my friends and I can easily fit into that category.

This drink is a cream liquer, that will come in Strawberry Qream and Peach Qream, so the recipes that they come up with should be very interesting. Liquer is not the easiest to mix with, but it has an awesome taste, if the recipe is right. I also will be interested in seeing and listening to the advertising campaigns, since Pharrell will be the cultural ambassador for the brand.

The drink is set to hit shelves later this month.

I was blessed with a tweet of some unique pants that are made with recycled flour bags and thought how cool?!? These pants are based out in Kokrobite, Ghana. Im pretty sure that the pants may actually be comfortable. The pants are definitely putting used and or recycled materials to good use. Save the earth and your money, with these.
