The First Ever Black Woman Led VC in Indiana!

It is with great pleasure that I announce the state of Indiana is now home to the first ever black woman led and managed venture capital (VC) firm Sixty8 Capital

Sixty8 Capital is a seed stage VC firm with a focus on supporting Black, LatinX, women and LGBTQ+ startups. Today, was the close of the $20 million venture fund. Investors include The Indiana Next Level Fund, 50 South Capital, Bank of America, Eli Lilly and Company, First Internet Bank and the Central Indiana Community Foundation. Sixty8 Capital is powered by Allos Ventures and led by Managing Director Kelli Jones.

Sixty8 Capital will seek to invest in 25 to 30 pre-seed and seed stage companies with initial equity checks of $250,000 - $500,000 per company preserving additional money for follow up rounds.

Outreach will be a crucial component in the success of Sixty8 Capital per Jones. “We have to help lift the veil of how these founders can connect with VCs. Even if we don’t invest now, we can still listen.”

Sixty8 Capital is open to review applications from underrepresented startups in the midwest. For more information on Sixty8 Capital visit their and share this post with your network.
