If you are like us Indianapolis fashionistas, who are still waiting on our Spring warm-up, you may be a little iffy about wearing out those wonderful skirts and dresses for fear of what's left of the hawk or the night chill. And if you are a fashionista, you probably have realized that wearing thick tights is OUT (Heidi Klum voice), unless they are under your pants being worn as a substitute for a thermal pant. So this post is to grant you three options of cute black opaque *key word* tights. This kind of tight may be worn out on the town because they are opaque, black, trendy and cute. Slide a pair of these on missies under your spring short items and you'll be rocking with the best!
Don't be afraid to wear them under shorts as well, if you are clubbing or going out.
I have found the Buy of the Day! A pair of wonderful, full of color (and life) feather earrings with a jewel connector for the great amount of $4.00!!! Available at charlotterusse.com. Eat these up, ladies!!
If you would like to know more about the cell phone and wireless device market for tablets, Cnn.com posted a great article today explaining all of the different tablets, their pros and cons, their sizes, the network they are available on and more.
When you attend a basketball game, I think it's okay to kick your style up a notch!! If I could talk to Angela Simmons, Lala Vasquez and Kim Kardashian, I think that they would definitely would agree with me.
Angela Simmons went all of the way club style for the bball game. She was wearing a short, leather jacket. A shiny shimmy dress, black opaque tights, looks like a Chanel Bowler bag and Loubies! She's about ready for a dinner/club date at the end of the fourth quarter.
Steve Madden shoe option for $109.95
Lala opted for black leggings, with a salmon/orange or hot pink (depending on the lighting) colored button up blouse tied up in the front, animal print peep toe sandal with ankle adornments, a fantastic looking watch and a long simple gold necklace.
Michael Kors Sandal option priced at $165
Kim K is wearing, distressed black denim, black thigh high Louboutin boots, a gray t-shirt with a tail, the black Chanel classic flap bag and a cropped, waist length, white sheep jacket.
Elie Tahari Boot Option for $358.80
All 3 of the ladies have a very high style quotient, but with very different styles. I think this is a great example of how acceptable it IS to attend sports games and look as fabulous or as casual as you want while remaining lady like.
The shoe options displayed above are just that - options if you were interested in finding something similar to what the celebs have on their twinkle toes.

Check out the great article "Put A Lid On It" written up for the April GQ about Bruno Mars from hats to hits! Bruno is rocking a classic fedora hat in all 7 images and looks like a great pair of boats by Sebago Docksides (which I've previously purchased for a client) in one of the pictures. Great stylists think alike.
Bruno states, "I'm not a role model, I'm a musician." When his run in with law concerning cocaine possession was brought up.
Keri Hilson attended BMI's Honoring of Polow Da Don last night at the W Hotel in downtown Atlanta. Many music industry people were in attendance and from the images I saw it looks as if Lloyd performed.
I think that Keri Hilson had on a pretty interesting outfit so I decided to give Notable readers a treat and display a few options that could help you achieve a similar look to Keri's.She's known for mixing classic and trendy pieces with casual ones.
Enjoy the selections!

Contributor Leona Benjamin (Personal Stylist of Nordstrom Las Vegas), hit me up with this one, and once I reviewed it, I said, what a find. She's good people. If you are out in Vegas, you must shop with her.
But now, fashionistas, I would like for you to put on your shopping skills. What do you think the difference is between the two shoes pictured above?
There are some differences, but those differences are very minor. Both of the shoes are 3" heel height, 1/2" platforms, of leather structure and very cute!!
The first shoe is DV Dolce Vita (genuine leather) from Nordstrom priced at $88.95.
The second shoe is Mossimo (faux leather, which also makes it animal friendly) from Target priced at $29.99.
So, the major difference is price!!!! And that is a good difference, for shoes that are almost of identical quality.
Good day Notable readers. I hope all is well. I am presenting a post that is very important for all fashionistas in the Midwest and abroad to know about. Midwest Fashion Week kicks off today in Indianapolis and will take place during the dates March 12th through March 19th. While the week offers a variety of events ranging from a children's fashion show to a sports-themed event at Lucas Oil, all participants I am sure will be pleased with the schedule line-up. Link here to get the full schedule.

This week long fashion event will end on Saturday, March 19th, with a huge DSI Fashion Gala at the Indiana Roof Ballroom.
This event will feature live musical entertainment by local singer and songwriter Jennie Devoe, a catered dinner, runway show, and will be hosted by WISH TV's IndyStyle co-host Andi Hauser. Special guests include former IU football Head Coach, Bill Lynch, Ball State Assistant Coach, Joey Lynch, actress Michael Michele, and "Survivor" Fan Favorite, Rupert Boneham.
The runway show will feature fashions by designers Catou, M. Michele Designs by Michael Michele, Antonio Fermin, Bryan K. Osburn, Arlinda, Brittany Humble, and Eliza Parker. Tickets to the event are $125 and the proceeds benefit Down Syndrome Indiana.
I have participated as a backstage liaison and as a media representative at many of the previous Midwest Fashion Weeks. I believe that you will be entertained.

Alright ladies, it is almost light jacket weather. And if you have experience transitioning from Winter to Spring, you may be layering now, preparing for the days when the weather does reach above 55 degrees and you may feel liberated to remove one layer, to remain comfortable.
This post though is really not about layering at all. Although the look that we are going to create is best suited for light jacket weather. I would like to showcase how you can purchase a low priced tee and pair it with items that you already have in your wardrobe to create a fresh new way of wearing the items you own.
But there are a few things you may want to start out with in order to make this happen. Of course, I will give you substitutes, if you don't actually own the items pictured.
1. A Louis Vuitton Damier Bag (option) a different kind of chocolate brown purse
2. Any pair of jeans that are bootcut or fitted near the ankle (option) any pair of jeans that you love the fit of :)
3. A clog, platform or high sandal shoe in olive green *a neutral color* (option) tan, brown or a beige shoe will do and is a lot safer to suit less risky fashionistas
Now all that you have to do is, put these items on together with the new t-shirt found at JCPenney for $11.99 and voila!! A new twist to your old items!
Ladies, I have recently noticed a trend in short shorts (and I mean REAL short shorts) in many denim washes that are available for the upcoming spring/summer season.
And this is an early forewarning, just because an item is made in your size, does not and I repeat does NOT mean that you should wear it.
I can only see a short this short looking presentable on someone with small to medium leg, hip and thigh proportions.
In short (no pun intended), please be careful when shopping for clothing. What looks good to the eye may not necessarily look good on the body.
Don't worry though, there are many other short styles that may look good on your body. Knickers in denim and other textile blends are back this year, as well as shorts that are just a bit longer than the ones pictured above.

I believe that I have found a great Notable Styles and More Best Buy for natural and taupe colored pump shoes. Target.com is the graceful retailer and the taupe colored pumps are priced at $29.99. While thenatural colored pumps are priced at $24.99. What a BARGAIN right!?!
Since the pump is kind of simple and basic, lacking a trendy platform near the toe pair either of these shoes with a wide leg jean that hits the top of the shoe, just perfectly. Also, try to pair these with something that has a little more flair like a sparkly top and knickers or even a colorful form fitting bandage dress.
The point of wearing neutral shoes is to pair them with something of great color.
